The 2015 edition of the Dutch Headwind Cycling Championship took place on the streets facing the North Sea, where the wind is very strong.
It is an 8,5 km long race, going against the wind, where competitors are forced to ride only on single speed bikes provided by the organization, this way there’s no chance to modify a bike and to obtain any advantage.
Moreover this year the wind was measured at gale force of 7 knots!!!
In this case, It is never been more true the Italian motto, that it’s very hard to go against the tide!
