Faenza is directly connected to Florence through a local scenic train line, that will take you through the Appennino mountains. Furthermore the train is equipped for bike transportation so we will be able to take our bikes with us on the train, get off in Florence, enjoy a number of different rides we can choose from, and at the end of the day, just go back to our cozy accomodation by train again.
The scenery is fantastic, we will go through il Passo della Colla, the famous mountain pass that gives its name to the 100km running competition,100 km del Passatore, that takes place every year in June, where runners starts in Faenza, go through the Colla Pass, to end the race in Florence.
Beside having the unforgettable experience of riding our bike or walking through the streets of Florence, we will also be able to visit some other nice typical old towns, near Florence, such as, just to name one, Fiesole, a lovely village of Etruscan origin.
